Are you a researcher? Do you have experience with data sharing or data harmonisation? Then, we’d like to invite you to partake in a survey to improve the integration and exploitation of health-related cohort data. More specifically, this survey aims to assess the challenges you experience in the context of 1) data access and data sharing, and 2) data harmonisation and integration.

SYNCHROS (SYNergies for Cohorts in Health: integrating the Role Of all Stakeholders) is an EU-funded Coordination and Support Action. Through intensive collaboration with stakeholders (e.g. researchers, funding bodies, policy-makers) and in partnership with the also EU-sponsored projects ORCHESTRA and unCoVer, we aim to define a strategic agenda and sustainable recommendations for an enhanced coordination and collaboration of cohorts in health globally.

We’d be very grateful if you could dedicate 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. It would help us to formulate well-informed recommendations for the European Commission, and to determine what they could do to facilitate the integration and exploitation of health-related cohort data, now and in the future.

The survey will consist of 2 rounds. The current survey aims to capture the experiences of the research community. Apart from the challenges you experience, we’ll ask you to identify potential solutions to overcome them. The second survey will incorporate the responses of the first round and assess the most stringent challenges and outstanding solutions to optimally exploit health-related cohort data.

This first survey will be open till the 30th of July. Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary and all of your responses will be kept confidential. The survey can be completed anonymously. However, we provide the option to be acknowledged in SYNCHROS’ final report. Please feel free to further distribute this email.
